Charles Blackman is one of the most important artists of the Antipodean Movement to emerge from Sydney. Nurtured by his elder colleagues Arthur & David Boyd, John Perceval, Sidney Nolan, Albert Tucker and Robert Dickerson, Blackman was encouraged to pursue his sometimes dark and whimsical figurative subjects.

Original paintings and graphics by Charles Blackman are included in all state art collection in Australia.
