1946 Born in Plymouth, England.

1949 Immigrated with his family to Australia.

1966-74 Art teacher.

1968 Began exhibiting his paintings.

1975 Established Port Jackson Press. Published original prints by many important Australian artists including; John Olsen, Arthur Boyd, Lloyd Rees and Brett Whiteley.

1983 Awarded the Wynne Prize (for Australian landscape painting), Art Gallery of N.S.W, Sydney.

1989 Moved to New York City where he presently resides with his wife, the poet and novelist, Lily Brett and their three children.
